# Sticky Messages

## What are Sticky Messages?

Sticky mesages are a type of system that allows messages to be "stuck" to the bottom of a channel\
Whenever a user sends a message in the channel Tickets will notice that, then will wait 5 seconds, delete its previous Sticky Message and then send another one so the message never gets burried and is stuck to the bottom of the channel

## Setup

Sticky messages can be setup using the `/sticky setup` command, there will be **one** option present "Type"

### Types of Sticky Messages

* **Plain:** This sends sticky message in a plain message, like the ones you chat in.
* **Embed:** This is a basic embed and you can set a Title, Content, Thumbnail Image, and Image
* **Advanced Embeds:** An advanced most customizable embed, [learn more here](/ticketsdocs/sticky/advanced-embeds.md)

Select any of these, and then fill in the required data and your sticky message will be setup!

### Toggling Sticky Messages

You can turn Sticky Messages on or off easily with the `/sticky toggle` command, if its on it'll toggle it off, if its off it'll toggle it on\
Setting up a sticky message will toggle it on automatically

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://invomagic.gitbook.io/ticketsdocs/sticky/sticky-messages.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
